Hurricane Ike 2008

Location: Southeastern United States, Great Lakes Region

Description: Over 400 MYR Group crew members from throughout the U.S. were mobilized to perform emergency storm restoration services to utility customers from damage caused by Hurricane Ike. Total estimated damage from this storm was close to $11.4 billion; and was the third-costliest hurricane ever to make landfall in the United States. Hurricane Ike was the costliest hurricane in Texas history. The states and regions that sustained the majority of damage included the Florida Keys, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and the Ohio Valley.
