One Nevada 500kV Transmission Line (ON Line) Project (Southwest Intertie Project –SWIP)

Location: Nevada

Description: This project consisted of the construction of 235 miles of 500kV transmission line from the newly constructed Robinson Summit Substation near Ely, Nevada to the Harry Allen Substation north of North Las Vegas, Nevada. The ON Line project is the first phase of the 510-mile Southwest Intertie Project, or SWIP. The project will enable the development of numerous renewable energy projects throughout Nevada, enhance overall energy-sharing efficiencies for NV Energy’s power generation resources and connect NV Energy’s two main service areas for the first time.

Client: Great Basin Transmission South, LLC (an affiliate of LS Power) and NV Energy
