Engineering News-Record Mountain States – Best Regional Projects
In 2016, MYR Group subsidiary Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc.(Sturgeon Electric) received a Best Specialty Construction Award for Excellence in Safety for Eisenhower/Johnson Memorial Tunnels – Fixed Fire Suppression System (EJMT) and an Award of Merit for the Highway/Bridge for US-HWY 36 Managed Lanes Project (US-HWY 36).

Annual Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Colorado Industry Gala and ACE Awards
MYR Group subsidiary Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. (Sturgeon Electric) received recognition for two projects at the 2016 Annual Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Colorado Industry Gala and ACE Awards. The Eisenhower/Johnson Memorial Tunnels – Fixed Fire Suppression System (EJMT) project received the Gold award for the Best Building Project in the $2-$6 Million Specialty Contractor category,  and the US-HWY 36 Managed Lanes Project (US-HWY 36) received a Silver award in the Best Building Project Over $10 Million Specialty Contractor category.

 


 

 

 

 

AGC Construction Safety Excellence Award (CSEA)

MYR Group subsidiary Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. (Sturgeon Electric) was awarded the National Construction Safety Excellence Award (CSEA) in the Specialty Division by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC); and was recognized for innovation in management leadership, employee involvement, worksite analysis, orientation, training and educational programs and overall safety statistics.


 

 

 

 

 

OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP)
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has recognized two MYR Group subsidiaries for achieving STAR status in its Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) for the Mobile Workforce Demonstration for Construction, the highest VPP recognition level awarded by OSHA for workplace safety and health.  Since 2008, both companies have maintained VPP STAR status program through the ability to continually elevate our safety program beyond industry rules and standards.

 


 

 

 

 

NECA Safety Excellence Award Presented to Sturgeon Electric Company

MYR Group subsidiary Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. (Sturgeon Electric) received the Safety Excellence Award from the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) for exemplary safety performance in 2015, 2013 and 2012.

NECA’s Safety Excellence Award is an elite safety recognition program focused on recognizing companies that excel in multiple areas of safety and health. Award recipients are selected based upon consistent OSHA recordable injury and fatality rates at levels lower than the industry standard, and implement internal company safety practices above basic compliance.
