Description: In 2009, Sturgeon Electric performed electrical construction services on a design-assist expansion project for the Adams County Justice Center, which incorporates the latest in courtroom technology, acoustics and integrated audio-visual systems. The project consisted of adding space for 12 courtrooms, 10 alternative-dispute resolution conference rooms, prisoner-holding areas, a 500-seat jury room, additional clerks’ offices and public walk-up counters.
Sturgeon Electric also performed electrical construction services for Brighton’s new Adams County Government Center in 2010. This design-assist project entailed the construction of a new five-story, 330,000 square foot facility that groups the county’s major energy-efficient electrical and mechanical systems, numerous windows and skylights to harvest natural light and exterior shade structures that reduce solar heat.
