Description: This Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) project was located in Colorado and consisted of 73 miles of new 230kV transmission line, install of new 34.5/345kV collector substation with two 60MVA transformers, 2 capacitor banks, collection circuits, switches, metering steel structures, grounding, control building and all related civil work. The contract also included the purchasing and management of $15 million in material. Transmission structures consisted of 455 hybrid H-frames comprised of concrete and steel, 36 dead-end structures and bundled 954, (2) 3/8″ overhead ground wire. Project included helicopter work and was constructed in harsh, winter conditions.
