Chase City to Cloud 230kV Transmission Substation

The L.E. Myers Company (L.E. Myers) constructed two, new 230kV transmission lines for Dominion Energy in Virginia. They managed all access, foundations and environmental work, and self-performed the line construction of roughly 15 miles of parallel transmission lines. They also relocated and reconfigured about a half mile of 115kV transmission line connected to the Chase City substation. The project required 218 foundations and 201 poles and tying the transmission into both the Chase City and Cloud substations, as well as tapping into a third substation.
The new transmission lines support a nearby data center customer.
