From its offices in Mansfield and Alvarado, Texas, Great Southwestern has performed electrical construction services for Oncor since 2014. In 2017, Oncor awarded Great Southwestern a five-year contract for transmission, distribution, and substation work.
Crews and equipment are readily available to respond to emergency events within Oncor’s system. Because much of the work takes place in urban areas and with crossings over major highways and interstates, some projects take place overnight with carefully coordinated road outages that allow crews to safely perform the required tasks.
