Energized ConstructionExpertly Performing Live-Line Barehand Work

This 10-day certification program, located at our training facility in Alvardo, Texas, combines classroom learning with hands-on practical application in an expansive, dedicated yard, allowing instructors to replicate nearly any type of field condition for energized work on a wide range of transmission and distribution structures. Training situations are completed on energized lines with controlled voltages, simulating real-world scenarios without the danger of electrical shock.

Helping Our Customers Reduce Outages

Our highly skilled, experienced, and trained barehand lineworkers graduate from the Live Line Academy program and provide real-world experience, enabling them to streamline transmission projects by working on energized lines that don’t need to be taken out of service. This reduces the time and labor required to de-energize and re-energize transmission lines, instead allowing our customers to better allocate those resources elsewhere. Reducing outages enables our customers to repair or upgrade their electrical infrastructure with lower operational costs and continue servicing communities with reliable electricity.

By working closely with our customers in an open and trusting partnership, we develop a comprehensive work plan to safely complete our scope of work on time and on budget, without the lost time and labor needed to de-energize lines.
