In 2018, L.E. Myers crews completed the Venice to Campbell 138kV Transmission Line, installing two new 138kV, 310-foot-tall steel lattice towers, across the Mississippi River – one on each bank. They also installed a 2,156 aluminum steel reinforced (ASCR) conductor; two optical ground wire (OPGW) shield wires, and temporary and permanent lighting mandated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The line spans half a mile across the river and provides additional power to support north St. Louis. Our crews also removed four old towers and a line that ran across the Terminal Road Bridge.
